Rotne a otvoren\u00fd bol 1. j\u00fala 2000. Zauj\u00edmavos\u0165ou je, \u017ee most spojil od doby \u013eadovej \u0160kandin\u00e1vsky polostrov s\u00a0pevninskou Eur\u00f3pou. Dnes pohodln\u00e1 cesta z\u00a0Kodane do Malm\u00f6 trv\u00e1 35 min\u00fat. Cel\u00fd prejazd tvor\u00ed most o d\u013a\u017eke 8 kilometrov, ktor\u00fd plynule prech\u00e1dza cez \u0161tvorkilometrov\u00fd umel\u00fd ostrov do \u00a03,5-kilometrov\u00e9ho tunela.
